Yuuma Ootani (大谷 優馬, Ōtani Yūma) is an unemployed man aged 21 who is a NEET and a Niconiya streamer with a regular fortune-telling show about hot actors or cute actors called "TIL: I Can See the Future" where he make prophecies which gets quite a lot of viewers.
Personality/Background[]
In 4th grade, Yuuma became hugely addicted to online gaming. Since then he stop going to school and then even stopped leaving his own room. Later he also became addicted to drugs that would always made him sleepy which drive him to planning to commit suicide. After the earthquake he finally managed to leave his own room, but his parents had already given up on him. After he failed his entrance exam three times, skipping the next two after the first. He went to live on his own on Shibuya, and he hadn't spoken to his parents since. Yuuma did not have any ambitions whatsoever.
Plot[]

Ootani was the first murder victim in the Return of the New Generation Madness killings who claimed to have psychic powers and had gained some popularity on a streaming website by predicting the future, generally being asked to predict things to do with pop culture and idols.
During the stream, he gets up to cut some cheese, intending to eat while answering questions, when the doorbell rings. He answers the door, has a short, only partially audible conversation, then returns to continue his stream, confused when the comments turn to horror and disbelief. He then discovers the 'cheese' he'd cut up was his right hand up to the forearm and he'd been chewing on his fingers, shortly before collapsing onto his keyboard and bleeding out.

At the door were Serika Onoe and Wataru Sakuma, who had used an artificial gigalomaniac device to project a delusion that Ootani had been cutting cheese, which was why he didn't realize anything was wrong and didn't feel any pain (at first).
Etymology[]
- The name Yuuma means "excellence, superiority, gentleness" (優) (yuu) and "horse" (馬) (ma).
- Yuuma's surname Ootani means "big, great" (大) (o) and "valley" (谷) (tani).
