The Shibuya Earthquake (The Third Melt) is a major event which took place at the middle of Shibuya, Japan, killing 3,851, and injuring 30,927 people in the process. Its true cause is unknown to the public, but it was the third and by far the biggest of 3 manmade earthquakes to occur in downtown Shibuya in 2009. The event is what created Chaos Child Syndrome, and what caused the awakening of partial gigalomaniacs.

Plot

At November 6th, 2009 in Shibuya, Japan, a 7.8 Magnitude earthquake took place, with its epicenter located directly under the city.

Mysteriously to the public, however, there were no aftershocks, and the destruction was highly concentrated right in the epicenter in a peculiar way. Unbeknownst to the public, the cause of the earthquake was artificial, and was caused by the aftereffects of the Committee of 300’s Project Noah, N.O.Z.O.M.I.’s failure to rebel against the Committee of 300.

The earthquake caused Shibuya to go under total destruction in a single night, spreading massive structural damages throughout the city and spreading black fires, killing 3851 and injuring 30,927 in the process.

The bizarre aftereffects of the white light released by Noah II are what gave birth to the Chaos Child Syndrome, a synchronized delusion created by many victims of the quake in order to subconsciously escape their reality, and also what caused the awakening of partial gigalomania powers in several individuals, such as Senri Minamisawa, Hinae Arimura, Hana Kazuki, Uki Yamazoe, Riko Haida, and a few more.

The events of the quake indirectly caused the real-booting of Serika Onoe by Takuru Miyashiro, when Takuru felt meaninglessness and asked the quiet part of his delusions, Serika, to give him purpose, leading to her being created and murdering his parents, channeling his true, hidden, dark feelings and desires.
