Gen is a homeless man who lives around Miyashita Park along with Takuru. Gen routinely sell issues of Cool Cat magazines in a bag to Takuru to earn money for buying beer or to drink. Gen was the elder ruler of Miyashita Park and claims to be rich and of royal blood. He also claims to be the CEO of a company with a three billion yen a year salary, and claims to be best friends with Takuru's father who Gen calls him by, "Jiro". Gen even told Takuru that he was related to a clan of foreign nobles and could summon a foreign special forces team to do his bidding if needed.
